Howell Public Schools are some of the highest rated schools in the State. The new Hutchings Elementary school is located just 1/2 mile from Sheffield Drive.

Howell High School has earned North Central Accreditation at district elementary and middle schools. With eight exemplary schools, the District ranks second in the State of Michigan in that category; soon Hutchings Elementary Schools will advance application for that same status.

Cleary University, Eastern Michigan University, Central Michigan University, and Lansing Community College all have extension sites in Howell, while the campuses of Michigan Sate University and the University of Michigan are only minutes from Wellington Hills.
